The Loft Lid serves as a protective barrier or cover over downlights, ensuring loft insulation maintains a safe distance from the light fitting. Its design allows for adequate ventilation around the light, facilitating heat dissipation. Moreover, the Loft Lid effectively prevents heat loss and air leakage into the loft space, allowing for a continuous layer of insulation compliant with current building regulations.

Which Standards does the Loft Lid conform to?

What Do You Do With The Transformer?
As a general guideline:
- If the lamp features a halogen bulb, place the transformer outside the Lid and above the insulation.
- If the bulb is LED, position the transformer inside the Lid.
Is the Loft Lid Fire Rated?
Yes, the Loft Lid is crafted from fire-retardant material. Specifically designed for loft use, it is not required to have a fire rating. The Loft Lid adheres to all current UK building regulations and relevant European/British standards when correctly installed in a loft.
